OverviewIn October 2024, Mara Studio curated a four-day corporate offsite event for a global tech company, bringing together 135 employees from seven countries at Lopota Lake Resort & Spa in Georgia. The retreat was designed as a purposeful reset — aligning people, ideas, and goals through a balanced mix of strategy, culture, and shared experience.
Client & TaskThe client aimed to reconnect international teams, strengthen collaboration across departments, and create space for strategic alignment outside the everyday work environment. The challenge was to combine business objectives with deep team bonding in a way that felt meaningful rather than formal.
Concept & ProgramThe retreat unfolded as a unified journey, integrating conference sessions, collaborative tasks, and evening celebrations into one coherent narrative. Each day flowed naturally into the next, reinforcing the idea of a shared experience rather than separate agenda blocks. This approach reflected the essence of a well-designed corporate retreat, where structure supports connection rather than limiting it.
Team Experience & ActivitiesGuests took part in hands-on cultural masterclasses, including traditional baking and wine-making. These team-building activities encouraged collaboration through shared learning and authentic local experiences, helping participants connect beyond roles, departments, and borders.
Our RoleFrom arrival to departure, Mara Studio delivered full-cycle event production and comprehensive corporate retreat planning. Our scope included:
- development of the event concept and visual identity
- branded merchandise creation
- coordination of international logistics
- sourcing and management of local vendors
- on-the-ground operations, including artist booking and technical direction
Documentation & ResultOur photo and video teams captured the energy of each day, producing dynamic visual assets for internal and external communications. This documentation became a natural extension of our event management services, ensuring the impact of the retreat continued well beyond the four days on site.
