Once Upon A Holiday Night
Overview
Organizing holiday celebrations across multiple countries is always a balance of emotion and complexity. In December 2024, Mara Studio, acting as an event agency for international companies, delivered five New Year and holiday celebrations in five different cities for one IT company. Each event reflected its local context while sharing a single purpose: bringing people together and closing the year on a warm, human note — the core of our work as a corporate new year party organizer.

Client & Task
The client’s goal was to unite international teams spread across Europe through a series of celebrations that felt personal rather than replicated. Each city needed its own character, while maintaining a shared holiday spirit and consistent quality across all locations.

Geography & Format
From Limassol to Amsterdam, Prague, Barcelona, and Belgrade, the project unfolded as a series of business events in Europe, designed as moments of pause, connection, and shared experience for teams working across borders.

Local Concepts & Experiences
Limassol
The celebration took place at a luxury resort and leaned into classic Christmas comfort. A Secret Santa exchange set a gentle tone, while a live cover band, relaxed lounge areas, and a festive photo booth encouraged calm conversation and togetherness.

Amsterdam
Here, the holidays were reimagined in a playful way. Hosted in a venue overlooking the city, the event blended subtle references to Willy Wonka and Santa into an interactive format. Ornament decorating, karaoke, and music bingo were combined with carefully aligned visuals and branding, creating a light, engaging atmosphere.

Prague
The city’s winter mood shaped a cinematic yet approachable evening. Santa and Willy Wonka welcomed guests into a program featuring themed quizzes, a dedicated photo zone, and an energetic dance floor that gradually became the heart of the night as the atmosphere built naturally.

Barcelona
The celebration adopted a more dynamic rhythm. Familiar holiday characters guided guests through interactive zones, including a photo quest, gaming, and creative activities. The format allowed guests to choose their own level of engagement — from active participation to relaxed conversation.

Belgrade
The series concluded with a focus on spontaneity and expression. A jazz and hip-hop dance battle became an unexpected highlight, supported by gingerbread decorating, music bingo, and a lively quiz. The final evening felt open and informal, closing the tour on a high-energy, creative note.

Our Role & Approach
Across all five cities, the approach remained consistent: thoughtful venue selection, concepts adapted to local audiences, careful coordination, and attention to detail. Rather than replicating a single template, each of these internal corporate events was shaped around the people attending it. This project highlights our role as a corporate event agency in Europe that designs multi-city celebrations built around real teams, cultural nuance, and shared stories — while delivering consistency at scale.
