Sometimes the best story is the one you don’t have to invent. The client asked us to skip made-up plots and fairy-tale worlds. That’s how our family day in Cyprus came to life. Instead of a script, there was the atmosphere itself, and instead of roles, there were simply people, their families, and beautiful décor all around them.
A themed concept usually works like a thread that holds all the activities together. Without it, each zone has to stand on its own, like a separate song on a good album. The event comes together through the rhythm of the day, the space and branded details that gently remind everyone why they are here.
One in five guests was a child, so we created a little world for the kids with its own rhythm: giant soft building blocks, science shows with dry ice and smoke (oh, how many roses we froze and smashed!) and face painting. While the adults relaxed, the children had adventures of their own.
A celebration without a made-up theme is an honest format. No one has to play someone else’s role: you can simply be yourself, relax with your family and feel part of one big team. And all the work behind this lightness stayed invisible to the guests. That was the plan.
